Bronco is the new album from country artist and songwriter Orville Peck. A consummate storyteller, the country rock inspired Bronco plays upon the horse theme so often found in Orville's work, but this time with an exploration of freedom, breaking free from that which binds us and all that is wild and untamed. Bronco builds upon and follows Peck's previous album Pony and EP Show Pony, which explored themes of love, loss and loneliness but advances the story arc in a bolder, newer and warmer trajectory.
'This is my most impassioned and authentic album to date,'? says Peck. 'I was inspired by country rock, 60s & 70s psychedelic, California and even bluegrass with everything being anchored in country. Michael ReidApril 25, 2022I have no doubt based upon the brooding delight "Pony" remains, "Bronco" will come with it's own treasure chest. However these days, the vinyl pressing is what is promoted because that format has had an $$$$$$+ resurgence, which is rather wonderful IF you can afford the price$. However a CD choice in most cases is still offered. Alas not to date with the new album. I loved buying "Pony" and was keen to place "Bronco" beside it on my shelf. I can see more than a few others have stated they'd have preferred this format too. Maybe enough will come through to encourage enough copies to be pressed. I would have just ordered mine had it been a choice today. None the less I am quite keen to hear this new set, so I will hold out a little more if the above should only be belated. It will nicely add to the anticipation.

Diane EApril 8, 2022I love the new songs, but I need a CD. Can't use vinyl. My favorites are Cry, Baby, Cry and Outta Time. Music like no other!! I first saw Orville Peck on Jimmy Kimmel and said, this guy has it all! Orville, please put out Bronco on a CD!!!

Michael ZMarch 17, 2022Perhaps a bit “old-fashioned” at this point but I still prefer to buy my music on CD, really wish one was available for this release, even as a limited run! Can’t wait to hear the new music, love all the previous releases and the singles released already from Bronco.
